Ford Fusion Trend
I knew what I wanted, when I came to the the store. “Tall, compact, spacious”. Price-quality – not bad at all; clearance – suits for our roads and going off to the out-of-town picnics; economical engine, though speedy enough – brilliant.
As usual, auto show had in stock expensive models containing discs, thresholds, mad alarming systems and the other things you-have-more-to-pay-for type.
Smiling widely, the consultants told me about 3 more cars coming round to stock: one Ghia, one Trend with the automatic transmission, one Trend with the Deep Navy ‘handle’. Ghia was too expensive, again, automatic transmission is good just for the powerful sedans and jeeps, but the third model sounded good.
In 10 days it was plus one lucky owner of the Ford Fusion Trend.
First of all, I set the carter protection – with our roads it seemed very logical to me, a bit later – light tuning (according to the laws) and the wind protector for the windows.
I had to borrow part of amount in the bank to purchase it, so I couldn’t avoid the autoCasco insurance, that’s why for quite a long time the car had no alarm system installed. And it had the manual locks, as well. But in a while I made the mistake and set the automatic alarms… Comfortable in winter: looked outside, pressed the button, and in 10 minutes the saloon warms up. But afterwards the alarm system broke down, and it no longer recognized the ‘neutral’. Had to run after the car twice… Well, at least, I made the neighbours laugh.
Saying goodbye to the car was sad. And this person was driving with my plates for a month. So, when I saw it in the town, every time it was like meeting an old pal… I was even checking, how it was getting on, is it clean and looking allright?..
