General Motors Corporation is a huge American car manufacturer (concern). It produces the trunks, the passenger cars and the other vehicles. GM activity began in 1900, when the brothers Max and Morris Grabowsky had created the first trunk equipped with one-cylinder horizontal engine, and sold it. The company got its name, though, only 8 years later, when William S. Duran had joined it. GM has absorbed all the smaller car producers of the Michigan state. In 1916, it became the real corporation. Starting from the trunks back then, at the moment it produces even the SUVs, which are constantly improving. GM cars are world-wide recognized.
