Hummer is an American car manufacturer, producing the big SUVs with the army ‘roots’. In the old days, it belonged to GM. Nowadays, it’s a symbol of the rich and well-equipped American guy. It’s also a global brand, and its new models are based on the GMT 800 chassis. The new models let the consumers’ demand grow from 1000 cars a year (in 2000nd) up to 82 000 in 2006. Though, the main problem of the Hummer cars was the non-economic fuel consumption – and it didn’t let them stay ‘on the throne’ for longer. Different car producers were trying to buy the brand a few times, but every time the deal wasn’t completed for the unknown reasons. So, the latest Hummer model which was emerged became Hummer H3.
