Jeep is another name, known all over the world. Now, most of people mean by the Jeep any SUV-car. Not everybody is aware, the Jeep is a brand name, too. This is the quite old (over 60 y.o.) and respectable brand, SUV-manufacturer. The history of Jeep cars begins in 1939 with the “Willys Overland” first original car concept, later will be known as Jeep. The car requirements from the U.S. government side became: it should be light-weight, manoeuvring and powerful. When the war was finished, “Willys Overland” decided to keep emerging those cars for the ordinary people and their lives. The cars functions were a bit changed, and the cars themselves got the new name – CJ (Civilian Jeep abbreviation). These were the prototypes of the series model of 1945.
