British Land Rover company, specializing individually on the off-road SUVs, long ago was just a part of the Rover automobile company. The Land Rover cars were created as alternative to the military Willys, as a car with the great off-road possibilities. The first cars were very ascetic. They didn’t even have the outer door handles and the heater. The 1.5 litres petrol engine could make just 50 hp. Hard to believe, looking at the modern Rovers, isn’t it? Anyway, starting from the 60s, the Land Rover had been changing its owners often. Its last owner became Indian Tata, which promised to keep all of its unique features, excluding the petrol consumption.
