As for me, the Freelander has no rivals.
Brutal shapes, excellent steering, soft driving, brilliant dynamics, low petrol consumption, compact outside and spacious inside (apart from the boot), and simple, but ergonomic saloon. I’m surprised with the British engineers who managed to place together all those things. And the price at the moment of purchase was about 42 000 $.
The Freelander is great on the highway, no complains at the brakes. And the city becomes wider for it, as well.
I’m happy with its optical system (B-Xenon) and not irritating at all, classic instrument panel.
Long-way travelling with the Freelander became much more simple, comfortable and pleasant now. The full petrol tank is enough for 450 miles. Soft driving and the off-road opportunities let us go further with no fear to stuck in the first road pool.
Minuses: small trunk, the seats’ fabric seems too simple, no armrest in stock. But all that doesn’t really matter. Small things.
2,2TD4, automatic transmission, S-class + B-Xenon, Parctronic, tuning and the leather-rubber steering wheel.
