Lexus is a part of Toyota company, specializing on the luxury-class models for the U.S. and European automarkets (of course, the steering wheel is left-sided). “Lexus” sounds a lot like “lux”, that’s why it was called this way. And this was the starting goal of the Lexus company – production of the posh, luxurious, prestige cars, not for everyone could afford. The Lexus cars creation took a few years and 1400 designers and engineers. The main engineers of the F1 (flagship 1) project became Shoiji Jimbo and Ichiro Suzuki. They started the project in 1984. And in its final stage the Lexus was absolutely not like other Japanese cars. In the future, it’s planned to be equipped with the diesel and hybrid engines.
