MINI cars, car reviews MINI
Legendary British Mini cars owe their existence to the president of Egypt - Gamil Abdel Naser, who nationalized the Suez Canal in 1956. The result of it was the war, which led to less oil quantities in Great Britain. Hard to believe, but they even had to use the special cards to get some petrol. This, of course, made the car engineers think of creating the micro and mini cars, which would use less fuel. That’s why Leonard Lord, the owner of the British Motor Corp., had started the Mini production in 1959. It was then called the Austin 7 or the Morris Mini Minor, and gradually became popular in Great Britain.
