Nissan cars, car reviews Nissan
History of Nissan begins with the opening of the Kwaishinsha Co. car factory, which was established in 1911 by the Japanese automobile industry pioneer, Masujiro Hashimoto in the in Tokyo. Officially, though, the company was created only in 1933.
It was later, when the first Nissan model was released: it looked like a small, box-type passenger car with quite special design. So, the first Nissan cars had debuted in 1912 under the code name of Dat Cars. Their maximum speed was 22 mph. ‘Dat’ was an abbreviation of the first letters of its 3 major sponsors’ names: Kenjiro Den, Rokuro Aoyama and Meitaro Takeuchi. In addition, the word ‘Dat’ in Japanese means “lively, brisk.”
