After selling our old lovely Daewoo, which was used by both me and my wife, we had to get another car following these criteria: non-expensive, practical, reliable, automatic transmission, nice designed. That’s why we bought Micra. Why not? I remember the Nissan which was emerged by the K12 British factory, and its quality/brand were great.
The car came to us itself. We’ve been through the lots of ads, and here it comes from another unexpected side! My father-in-law found another ad which was new, and we called the owner of the car at once. He lived right next to us – in a Major City! We got there straight away. The service-centre director was selling it – and as it belonged to his wife before, we didn’t have to worry about the car’s condition, it was ideal. When we saw it, we made the final decision: not to go anywhere else and leave the prepayment. So, the next day it was ours!
I decided to style it first. Can’t stand the car which is the same as all the others on the roads. I tuned the lights, painted the discs, installed the ‘Alpine’ acoustics. In the end, the car became 2-coloured – green/black! It stood out from the ‘river’ of all the other cars on the roads, and our friends noticed us there often, signalling. ‘The bug’ was quite speedy, no matter the engine volume, very comfortable for the city and not bad at all on a highway. We made it from Orlov Region to Moscow per 4,5 hours with an average speed of 120 miles per hour. No problem! The only bad thing about it is, that its size doesn’t make people to respect it, so we have to prove its coolness all the time. So, in fact, the car served great for 2 years, and we were sorry, when we had to sell it, as the previous one.
