Adam Opel AG is a German auto company, a part of the GM concern. It produces the passenger cars, minibuses and minivans. The main Opel office is located in Germany, and its creation year is 1862. Adam Opel, the founder of the company, was a German designer and manufacturer. First, his company was producing the sewing machines – they were so popular, that this business continued till 1911. But, at the same time (in 1886) Opel added the wheels and bicycles production. The first Opel cars showed up only in 1899 – and the first model took 37 years to be developed properly. Adam Opel has died without seeing it, but his family went on with this business.
