The Renault story began in 1898, when Louis Renault had constructed the first light-weighted carriage with the power of only 0,75 hp. Maybe, he was insulted by the public opinion, because, starting from 1900, the Renault cars show themselves as huge and the most powerful. Among those new models were AG1 with the different body styles: Capuchin, double-shay, landau and the rare closed up limousines. In 1966, Renault – together with Peugeot and Volvo - signed an agreement, deciding to merge their technical resources. Renault company is widely known for its great achievements on the sports cars’ auto market. It also produces passenger cars and trunks.
